Guitar

This course provides opportunities for students to develop their musical potential and aesthetic understanding through learning to play guitar. Emphasis will be placed on playing position, tone production, fundamental technique, simultaneous playing and singing, reading music and tablature, and composing songs/lyrics. Knowledge and skills will include experiences in playing, listening, and connecting to cultures. Students will need to provide their own instruments.
Advanced members of Guitar are encouraged to audition for Jazz Ensemble as well as The Advanced Percussion Rhythm Section |
